Adept PublishWave is an Adept add-on that enables automated or on-demand PDF or TIF publishing from within Adept. You get version-correct, high quality output without tying up your workstation. On-demand publishing can be done in single or batch mode. Automated publishing can be triggered upon Sign-In or Final Approve in Adept. Format support includes AutoCAD, MicroStation, SOLIDWORKS, Inventor, Word and Excel.

The Add-On ensures each document has a clear record of approval signature and date at every step of a workflow. Approval signatures are tracked on the document's Data Card and can be automatically pushed to the document itself through mapped properties. Approval steps require password authentication from the approved. The Add-On can be configured for use with any Adept workflow.

Each Adept Library has a default workflow defined by the Administrator. This Add-On gives the user an option to select and initiate other workflows upon document check in, based on the options configured by the Administrator. The workflow assignment is recorded in Adept's Audit Trail and Workflow tab in the Document Dashboard.

The Adept Check In/Out ensures there is one master document and saves all previous versions with the same file name. Adept does not create uncontrolled duplicates or renamed versions. For all the documents created prior to Adept, however, there are often duplicates and renamed versions. It's difficult for anyone to confidently find the right document version, which leads to wasted time and expensive mistakes. This Add-On allows an organization to easily combine duplicates and renamed versions into one document set with a single file name and a proper version history. The user can review the relevant documents and reorder them up or down to stack the versions properly. Users everywhere will always find the latest version and will have access to the complete version history.
